Dave Prowse is known to people of all ages,
and all nationalities, in various guises: starring as the
legendary Darth Vader and the Green Cross Code Man to name
only two. However, he has also been one of Britain's top bodybuilders,
the British Heavyweight Weightlifting Champion, one of the
world's best Highland Games athletes and the holder of many
British heavyweight weightlifting records. Dave’s acting
abilities covers all areas of the profession; from comedy
to drama (including many horror and sci-fi roles) to Shakespeare.

Dave’s many films include: Star Wars Episode 6: Return
of the Jedi, Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back,
Star Wars Episode 4, Jabberwocky, Hammerhead, Vampire Circus,
Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell, Blacksnake, A Clockwork
Orange, Up Pompeii, Up the Chastity Belt, Carry on Henry and
Horror of Frankenstein.
Television
Dave has appeared in various well-known television programmes
including, amongst others, Dr Who, Space 1999, The Tomorrow
People, Callan, The Saint, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the
Galaxy, The Beverly Hillbillies, A Horseman Riding By and
Shakespeare’s As You Like It.
Commercials
The Green Cross Code Man is Dave’s most notable commercial
in the UK.
